Woman puts pony in back of Honda Accord while fleeing North Bay fires
Many people fleeing the North Bay fires also had pets and livestock to worry about. One North Bay woman had to come up with something creative to get herself and her pony to safety.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) -- Many people fleeing the North Bay fires also had pets and livestock to worry about.

Cindy Mesaros posted this on Facebook, showing her sister-in-law, Lauren Mesaros, flee the North Bay wildfires with her pony in the back of her car.

"When your sister in law Lauren has to evacuate her pony from Santa Rosa but no transport is available - you do what you have to do," Cindy Mesaros wrote in the post, which has been shared more than 17,000 times in less than a week.

Snapped by Lauren's neighbor, the photo post has has also gotten more than 1,400 comments, praising her for doing what she needed to keep Stardust safe.

Says Cindy, "It's making a lot of people smile during a hard time."
