RICHMOND, Calif. (KGO) -- Amazon is looking to hire 800 people to work in its Northern California warehouse facilities this holiday season and many of those jobs could be at Bay Area delivery stations including the one in Richmond, and another in San Jose.

The online retail giant is holding job fairs around the Bay, looking for applicants of all backgrounds who can work various shifts in a 24-hour warehouse environment. Experience isn't necessary, a spokesperson said Amazon has a robust training program that will get new workers up and running in time for the crush of orders expected between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Amazon plans to hold another job fair in Richmond on November 9th, and in San Jose on November 3rd and 10th. Applicants who are a good fit could be hired on the spot, a spokesperson said, and if Amazon continues experiencing the explosive growth it's shown in past holiday seasons, some of those seasonal jobs could become permanent.
