Dreamforce convention draws large crowd in San Francisco
Nearly 170,000 people are in San Francisco for Salesforce's Dreamforce convention this week.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Nearly 170,000 people are in San Francisco for Salesforce's Dreamforce convention this week.

Salesforce has been putting on Dreamforce for 14 years. The massive crowds will mean traffic hassles in the area all week -- Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets are shut down.

A block of Howard Street outside West Moscone Center has been transformed into a national park-themed oasis, complete with a rock climbing wall for exercise and hammocks for resting.

For attendees they have quite an agenda. Here are some of the high profile speakers scheduled to be here: actress Natalie Portman, former first lady Michelle Obama, actor Ashton Kutcher and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. There is also a concert on the schedule, where Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz will perform.

It will be a fun week, but also charitable. Salesforce plans to raise about $10 million for UCSF Children's Hospital and is also raising money to help victims of the North Bay fires.
