Officials say Fremont St near SF's Salesforce Transit Center won't reopen until next Wednesday

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Fremont Street in San Francisco won't open Friday as originally expected.

The agency that oversees the Salesforce Transit Center on Wednesday says the block of Fremont that runs under the hub will remain closed until Wednesday, Oct. 17 due to ongoing repair work at the transit center.

Fifteen days ago, the street was closed after cracks were found in two steel beams.
