Report: Principal owner of San Francisco Giants sued

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The principal owner of the San Francisco Giants is being sued over mutual fund fraud claims, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

Billionaire Charles Johnson is the single largest shareholder for the team. He helped transform San Mateo-based Franklin Resources into a publicly traded mutual fund company. An heir of one of Franklin's earliest investors has accused Johnson of defrauding him of $150 million. Johnson is worth $6.5 billion dollars.
