San Jose sets new privacy rules for digital data usage

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- San Jose is implementing new ways to give you more control over your online data.

The city's new privacy rules include: collecting and sharing only what is needed, and being open and transparent.

This is the first time the city has adopted new privacy principles.
