Man shot multiple times outside Vallejo apartment

VALLEJO, Calif. -- One man was shot multiple times outside an apartment building in Vallejo Saturday, a fire official said.

Emergency medical crews responded around 6:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting at 135 Carolina St., Vallejo fire acting Capt. Richard "Matt" Ceballos said.

The address is the location of the Marina Heights Apartments, according to several real estate listings websites.

Ceballos said the man was found outside of the apartment building in one of the walkways with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Ceballos said.

Ceballos said the man is expected to survive.

Vallejo police did not immediately return a request for comment.
