Michael Jackson's music reign continues.

The King of Pop ruled the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, appearing in hologram form in a performance of the song "Slave to the Rhythm."

The performance included Jackson's signature moonwalk, marking one of the key moments of the ceremony.

Here are four other highlights, from Justin Timberlake's Donald Sterling smack-down to Robin Thicke's romantic endeavors.

Justin Timberlake trashes Donald Sterling

Donald Sterling isn't a popular guy right now.

The owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers has been banned from the league, with the NBA looking to sell his team after racist audio recordings of Sterling emerged.

Numerous celebrities have criticized Sterling in recent weeks, and this time it was JT's turn. As he accepted the award for Top Artist, Timberlake -- surrounded by his dancers -- slipped in his dig.

"It is not a competition but if it was, I won ... And guess what, I'm OK with that! I think I'm OK with that. You guys enjoy the rest of the show. I want to thank everybody on earth, everybody on earth except Donald Sterling," he said.

Robin Thicke Opens His Heart

Singer Robin Thicke has been reeling lately, doing anything he can to win back wife Paula Patton. The couple, married in 2005, separated early this year.

Thicke isn't giving up on the marriage, and he's letting his music do the talking, debuting his new track "Get Her Back" Sunday.

"All right, you got to help me try to get her back now," he told the crowd before singing the song.

The lyrics address his relationship lessons.

"I should have kissed you longer, I should have held you stronger/ And I'll wait for forever for you to love me again," he sang.

Kendall Jenner Suffers a Teleprompter Moment

Kendall Jenner should wear her contacts next time.

The 18-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star was tasked with introducing an up-and-coming music act, Australia's 5 Seconds of Summer. Five. Seconds. Of. Summer. Jenner had trouble announcing those words.

"They made their debut on the Billboard 200 at number two," she said. "This summer ... and now we welcome ... One ... (Don't say One Direction! She crouched, collecting herself) ... Guys, I'm the worst reader. Um ... (laughter) ... They're only getting bigger! Take a look."

5SOS performed "She Looks So Perfect," and the crowd cheered, a successful debut performance in America.

Things weren't so swell for Jenner, who faced online scorn from the group's fans, and maybe fans of literacy, too. She blamed the situation on her contact lenses.

Shania Twain

The queen of country showed sophistication and style in a classic black dress.

Twain looked stunning Sunday. The "You're Still the One" singer posed for a 360-degree video clip on the red carpet, stealing the show once again.
