Military aircraft displayed at Hayward Executive Airport

HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- Thousands of people checked out all sorts of aircraft during an open house at the Hayward Executive Airport on Sunday.

Several helicopters were on display, including one belonging to the East Bay Regional Park District police.

Aviation buffs of all ages crowded inside the cargo bay of a National Guard C-130 Hercules aircraft.

The C-130 has carried troops and vehicles around the world for the military for 50 years.

Sky7 HD was there and people got an up close look at the helicopter.
