SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A group of topless protesters brought traffic to a standstill in San Francisco Thursday.

They stood in the middle of Market and Davis Streets in the Financial District during the morning commute.

The protest were trying to bring attention to black women killed by police sparked by the recent police shooting of Rekia Boyd in Chicago.

Activists say this extreme demonstration follows the tradition of African women who have bared their breasts to call attention to political injustice.
