San Mateo Bridge reopens after weekend closure

All lanes of the San Mateo Bridge are back open after a weekend closure. The entire bridge was closed to allow Caltrans to resurface the roadway and install new expansion joints.

Caltrans says the construction work is expected to extend the life of the aging span for another 50 years.

The bridge was closed during a weekend earlier this month. No further closures are planned.
