DUBLIN, Calif. -- The West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station has reopened this morning following a death on the tracks, according to BART officials.

The station was closed after a report around 7:15 a.m. of a person under a train at the station.

Trains were single-tracking through the station without stopping this morning, causing delays on the Dublin/Pleasanton line in both directions and at one point systemwide, according to BART spokeswoman Denise Gonzalez.

BART police confirmed around 8:30 a.m. that the person had died, Gonzalez said.

The Alameda County coroner's bureau concluded its investigation and cleared the tracks around 10:15 a.m., Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez said investigators do not know how the person got onto the track.

She said as of late this morning, trains were stopping at the station and full service was restored, but that passengers should expect some residual delays.
