OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An 82-year-old Oakland woman suffered painful injuries after she was robbed and dragged by a car in the Dimond District.

The attackers stole her purse while she was closing the rear door of an SUV outside a home in Oakland on Saturday morning.

ABC7 News met with the victim. She is doing better and is in good spirits but does not want her name or face shown because she is still afraid of her attackers.

The 82-year-old grandmother showed us her extremely bruised arm. She said she was in such intense pain the first two nights that she couldn't sleep. She is now getting sleep and the pain is subsiding.

She is very grateful her neighbor's surveillance camera captured the attack. Even though the camera did not capture the license plate of her attackers, she hopes police find the people who did this.
