California Fire Service looking to recruit new first responders

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- Anyone who wants to be a first responder can see if they have the right stuff on Saturday. The California Fire Service is holding a Firefighter Career Expo in Livermore.

Organizers say the expo provides would-be first responders with a hands-on look at what it takes to become a firefighters.

The event is open to all, but is geared toward encouraging women and transitioning military.
