SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A federal judge cleared the way for Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson to possibly be reinstated.
The judge overturned Peterson's suspension, which was implemented by the NFL and upheld by an arbitrator. This all stems from his no-contest plea in a child abuse case involving his young son.
The judge ruled the league violated the collective bargaining agreement by applying its new disciplinary policy retroactively.
The case now goes back to the arbitrator. Peterson's suspension could have ended on April 15.
