SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KGO) -- Here's a sweet reminder that firefighters do more than put out fires.

Baby Eva dropped in on the crew at Station 13 in San Leandro on Saturday for a reunion. Last month, her mom went into labor, but on the way to the hospital, they got delayed by construction. Eva wouldn't wait, so they pulled over and called 9-1-1, just blocks from the fire station.

Firefighters quickly responded. They delivered the baby in the car, on the side of the road.
