Bay Area law enforcement train to end things peacefully if protests get violent
Police officers from around California were in the East Bay Monday. It's an effort to train officers to find peaceful solutions to high-tension conflict.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Police officers from around California were in the East Bay Monday. It's an effort to train officers to find peaceful solutions to high-tension conflict.

Protesters, played by Alameda County Sheriff's cadets, hold anti-Trump and Black Lives Matter signs, imitating real-life scenes.

Real protests have turned violent on occasion when demonstrators and police clash.

A new type of crisis intervention was launched last year. Teams from several Bay Area agencies performed drills in Dublin Monday.
