Gator found at doorstep of school in Texas

KATY, TX -- An alligator was spotted hanging out at Beck Junior High School in the Katy ISD Wednesday morning.

Authorities were called around 7:20am to the school on South Fry Road near Mason. Texas Wildlife Park officials are on the scene trying to round up the gator.

A couple attempts to corral the gator were unsuccessful. On two occasions, the alligator managed to snap the rope before it was finally captured.

Alligator sightings are not unusual in southeast Texas.
