UNION CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- One person has died after an Amtrak train struck a pedestrian in the area of Dyer Street and Alvarado Boulevard in Union City.
Amtrak just issued a statement says the person was "trespassing on the tracks" when the individual was hit.

No one was else was hurt.
Amtrak says it's cooperating with the investigation.
