SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Three deserving Bay Area charities won big during a fun evening in San Francisco.

Some of the brightest minds of the Walt Disney Company teamed up to take part in the annual Trivia Night fundraiser at Lucasfilm.

A sharp-minded group of our ABC7 colleagues also joined in on the action. Trivia Night raises money for three local organizations: the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, the AIDS Emergency Fund and Mental Health Associates of San Francisco.

Trivia Night began 12 years ago as a way to help local charities.

"I always like to make at least $100,000 every year it's been pretty amazing what they've been able to pull. In the last 10 years they've been doing it, they've raised over $1 million," said Trivia Night founder Paul Hill.

They added to that amount last night, bringing in more than $143,000 for charity. A group of Lucasfilm employees was the winning team.
