Non-profit Tipping Point expects 38,000 people and a sold-out crowd for a five-hour benefit featuring Dead and Company, Rancid, Metallica and Oakland rapper G-Eazy.

The San Francisco Giants provided the venue, artists provided the talent, and some 60 corporations have thrown their weight behind the benefit concert.

"The focus is on hourly, documented and undocumented people who were already on the edge before the fire, who are now homeless," said Tipping Point CEO Daniel Lurie. "Every dollar donated goes directly to the victims."
Meantime, all day outside the stadium, "It's been like a private concert," said Cassandra Mola.
