Normal BART service resumed between SFO, Millbrae stations after major delay

SAN FRANCISCO -- Normal BART service resumed between the San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae stations Friday morning after a problem on the tracks required maintenance and caused major delays, a spokesperson for the transit agency said.

The problem was initially reported around 7:40 a.m. and affected service in both directions. Trains had to single-track while crews did the maintenance work, BART spokesperson Jim Allison said.

Normal service resumed by about 9:45 a.m., Allison said.
