On Sunday, 10 cities set new heat records: San Rafael, Moffett Field, Livermore, Kentfield, Richmond, San Francisco, SFO Airport, Oakland Airport, San Jose and Gilroy.

Nearly 20,000 electric customers lost power in the Bay Area because of high temperatures Sunday, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
As of 4 p.m. on Monday, the latest outage numbers are:
South Bay: 2,391
East Bay: 771
North Bay: 469
San Francisco: 77
Meanwhile, today's temperatures will range from 60s at the Coast, to 80s and 90s around the Bay, and 100s Inland.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Some tips for beating the heat: take frequent breaks in the shade or in air conditioning, drink lots of water, wear light weight clothing and check on seniors and pets as they are the most susceptible to the heat.
