However, families came from all over to find the water turned off. Plumbers say the filters clogged with soap from too many people bathing in the fountains.

Kids hope they're turned on soon. But in the meantime, their parents are cooling off with iced coffee.
"When it gets hot, a lot of people like to order mint mojitos, sometimes one or two, sometimes three," barista Lee Gomez said.
For the baristas at Philz, that means an upper body workout, muddling mint by hand and a lower body workout. "Sometimes we have to run over to Safeway and grab some more ice," Gomez said.
But perhaps the trendiest spot in town Monday is aisle 42 at Orchard Supply Hardware, where customers are loading up on fans.

"Inside our house right now, it's 87 degrees. Yeah, it's very warm," San Jose resident Tim Smith said.
Brian Davenport took it a step further. "Looking for an air conditioner," he said. "It's hot in my house."

And it was his lucky day. "It was our last air conditioner. We've been selling out of them all weekend like crazy," Orchard Supply Hardware manager Justin Valderrama said.

Valderrama says they'll be back in stock soon, but in the meantime, he had a suggestion. "Oh yeah, it's beautiful in here. Just stay inside and hang out and shop."
