Bay Bridge toll collector hit by car in parking lot

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A Bay Bridge toll collector was struck by a vehicle this morning near the toll plaza in Oakland, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

At 5:25 a.m., CHP officials said a traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred in the parking lot of the Bay Bridge toll plaza.

During the collision a toll collector was struck by a vehicle, CHP officials said.

The toll collector has been hospitalized with major injuries.
