"When officers arrived on the scene, we found three victims who had sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims has died due to a gunshot wound at this time," SFPD Captain Denise Flaherty said.
The female victim was described as a 65-year-old woman who was walking on the street. The other two victims were described as a contractor who worked for a cleaning company, and a 50-year-old man who was walking home from the corner store. Shell casings at the scene indicated at least 11 rounds were fired in the shooting.
Police said the area is a hot spot for crime, and that the department has been focusing on the neighborhood. Four shootings have taken place in the same intersection since last November.

Residents in the area want the neighborhood cleaned up. "It's frustrating not being able to go to my house...there are dead bodies on the street, people being shot," resident Adam Charles said.
Traffic was shut down in both directions on Broad Street, and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency had re-routed the M-Oceanview light-rail line and 54-Felton bus line as a result.
