Her family is in mourning Wednesday night as the manhunt for the gunman, or gunmen, continues.
Two men were also wounded in the shooting.
"She tried to feel for her pulse, but said it was very faint and we kind of knew she was probably on her way out," said Avei St.Pierre of Inner City Youth.
Lian Xiu Wu, died in San Francisco's Oceanview neighborhood, her family confirms.
"We last heard eight or 10, I"m not sure," said St. Pierre. "But that's when I knew it was a shooting."
Inner City Youth faces the intersection of Plymouth Avenue and Broad Street.

"10:39, and it's a Wednesday," said St.Pierre. "I don't know, to me like that's unheard of."
Two men were also hit, a contractor working for Muni and a second local resident. One of them stumbled into Ana's Market.
"He said, 'Call the police. Call the police. Call the ambulance,' and we don't know what happened," said Thelma Orozco, who has worked at Ana's Market for 14 years.
Police released few details about the shooter or shooters.
"This intersection continues to be a concern for us as a police department, and more important the community," said San Francisco Police Captain Denise Flaherty. "And we're doing all we can do to work in partnership with the community."

Witnesses tell ABC7 News a white vehicle drove by and shot out the window. Police pulled video from surveillance cameras.
"It's outside neighborhoods that come over here and commit these violences," said Katrina, a family member of a victim. "And something really needs to be done because our children and these families -- we don't deserve, we don't deserve this at all."
The two male victims are expected to survive.
