No information was released about what happened, but BART police are still investigating and reviewing video surveillance footage, according to BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth.
The transit agency sent out an alert regarding the closed station about 6 p.m. and said trains were running through Civic Center and not stopping.
As of 7:05 p.m., BART was recovering and normal service had resumed.
