Concord police investigate suspicious death at Best Western Hotel

CONCORD, Calif. -- Police are investigating a suspicious death at a hotel in Concord that occurred late Sunday night, a police spokesman said.

According to Concord police Lt. Nick Gartner, on Sunday at 10:24 p.m. officers responded to the Best Western Heritage Inn at 4600 Clayton Road. The death occurred inside a room at the hotel, Gartner said.

Information about the victim or any possible suspects was not immediately available. Gartner said there is no threat to the public.

The cause of the death is currently under investigation.
