All lanes reopen following crash on WB I-80 along Berkeley-Albany border, CHP says

ALBANY, Calif. (KGO) -- A sig-alert has been canceled for Westbound Interstate 80 along the Berkeley-Albany border, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A semi-partially loaded truck with tires overturned near Gilman St. spilling tires on the freewa. It blocked several lanes just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

All lanes reopened around 3:15 p.m., the CHP said.

It Impacted traffic heading both west and east for about four hours with eastbound traffic at a crawl as people slowed near the accident scene.

The truck overturned during a collision involving several other vehicles.



There's no word on injuries.
