'Suspicious circumstance' at Half Moon Bay prompts sheriff's investigation

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (KGO) -- The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office searched Cunha School in Half Moon Bay after what they called a suspicious circumstance, officials said Wednesday.

Students were sent home due to the investigation. The department tweeted that the entire school was searched and there was no threat to the public.

At this time they aren't saying what caused the school to be evacuated and students to be sent home early.
