Free hikes at several Bay Area parks on New Year's Day

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Several Bay Area State Parks will offer a way for you to ring in 2018 and enjoy California's natural beauty with a series of special hikes on New Year's Day.

Docents, rangers, and volunteers will lead the hikes at Parks like Mount Diablo and Angel Island.

It's all part of the 7th Annual First Day Hikes at parks across California.

Some of the Bay Area parks include: Mount Diablo, Angel Island, Mount Tamalpais, Big Basin Redwoods State Park and Año Nuevo State Park.
