3 arrested after high-speed chase ends in crash in Millbrae

MILLBRAE, Calif. (KGO) -- A police chase ended with a car crash into the Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae. Police say this started as a carjacking.

A Honda Accord went through the bushes, down an embankment and through a fence. The police pursuit started at about 2:30 this morning, on I-380 and went to southbound 101 and into Millbrae. The CHP says speeds reached about 100 miles-per-hour on the highways and about 70 miles-per-hour on the surface streets.

Two women and one man were arrested at the scene. The CHP, San Mateo Sheriff's Department and the Millbrae Police department set up a perimeter and started searching the neighborhood around the golf course.

They used police dogs in the search. They say if anyone in the neighborhood sees anything suspicious to call 9-1-1.
