VIDEO: Kayaker has close encounter with humpback whales near Norway

NORWAY (KGO) -- A kayaker experienced the thrill of a lifetime during a close encounter with several humpback whales in the waters off Northern Norway.

New video shared on YouTube shows Kari Schibevaag taking a selfie with the whales while they swim around her.

Berthold Hinrichs, who captured the footage, told Storyful the whales were playing around after feasting on herring.
