New housing development project aims to help San Jose homeless population

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- San Jose officials are working on a new housing development project that is expected help homeless people in the city.

The designs are being called Emergency Sleeping Cabins, which are also commonly referred to as "tiny homes."

The goal is to offer safe housing for the homeless in the area.
