Livermore In-N-Out reopens after customers reportedly got sick

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- An East Bay In-N-Out restaurant that was shut down after a suspected norovirus outbreak is back open on Friday.

The In-N-Out on North Livermore Ave. in Livermore says they've done a complete cleaning of the restaurant and screened all staff members for illness.

The In-N-Out was closed voluntarily by the company earlier this week after nine people from a college softball team reported feeling sick after dining at the restaurant.

However, the Alameda Department of Environmental Health reports that, based on the interview with the head coach of the team, several of the players had been showing symptoms of acute gastroenteritis last week prior to their exposure at In-N-Out on May 6.
