The incident happened around 2 a.m. near the corner of 5th and St. John streets on Saturday.
"Fortunately after 3 p.m. today, the female victim was dropped off here by a good Samaritan who had seen our alert," said Sgt. Jorge Garibay. "She did receive minor injuries during the event. The secondary suspect is still outstanding, however our detectives are working diligently to identify the suspect and locate the suspect."
San Jose police thanked the community for helping in the search.
