Napa fire 100% contained, mandatory evacuations lifted, CAL FIRE says

NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- The Coombsville fire that burned in Napa is fully contained, CAL FIRE said.

CAL FIRE says evacuations have now been lifted and residents are allowed to return home.

The fire was reported burning Wednesday just after 2 p.m.

CAL FIRE said the fire burned on Coombsville Rd. east of First Avenue near Silverado Middle School where a summer program at the school was evacuated.

Evacuation orders were also issued for streets in the area of Coombsville road and Tamarisk Drive.

An evacuee center was set up at the Napa Valley Expo fairgrounds.

Flames charred about seven acres, officials said. It was originally reported at 15 acres.

There are no reports of the fire damaging any structures.
