The fire was raised to two-alarms 15 minutes after it was first reported on social media around 4 p.m.
The blaze was in the 3000 block of Parker Avenue but threatened structures nearby, including one on Outlook Avenue. At 4:45 p.m., Oakland Fire said there was an active fire in the attic of a house in the 7800 block of Outlook.
As of 5:20 p.m., fire crews were in the "mopping up" stage and checking for remaining hot spots.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
