Water service restored to Petaluma neighborhood following main leak, officials say

PETALUMA, Calif. -- Water service was restored to a Petaluma neighborhood Thursday night after a major water main leak shut off service for more than an hour, city officials said.

The emergency shut-off affected northwest Petaluma, according to an alert sent shortly before 6 p.m.

The Petaluma Police Department sent out an advisory at 7:30 p.m. that water service was restored.

The areas affected were Magnolia Avenue, White Oak Circle, Acorn Circle, Sycamore Lane, Madrone Lane, Pepperwood Lane, and Hawthorn Court.
