Study: Petting dogs, cats for 10 minutes can lower stress

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new study finds our pets can take away our worries.

Researchers from Washington State University say spending just 10 minutes petting a dog or cat will do much more than improve your mood.

It will also lower your stress levels.

They say spending time with a furry friend incites a tangible, physiological response.
