BART service restored in Transbay Tube after equipment issues

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- BART service has been restored in the Transbay Tube after multiple equipment issues were reported at stations in San Francisco and Oakland, the agency said on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier Sunday, BART said service was stopped due to multiple disabled trains between Embarcadero and Lake Merritt.

BART says there is still a major systemwide delay due to the earlier problem.

It is unknown at this time if the issues are weather-related.
