BART Transbay Tube track issue disrupts Monday morning commute 1 week after similar incident

SAN FRANCISCO -- BART recovered from service issues early Monday morning due to an equipment problem in the Transbay Tube.

The Red service is back up and running after being shut down for several hours due to the track issues. Green line service was also restored earlier after being shut down between Berryessa and Daly City.

Crews worked to fix the equipment trouble and trains began running through the Transbay Tube around 6:15 a.m.

This comes exactly one week after a three-hour disruption that caused significant delays systemwide in the Transbay Tube and suspended two train lines. That was the fifth major BART disruption of 2025 and this was the sixth.
