Bay Area Kaiser workers could go on strike Tuesday, joining 31,000 across California and Hawaii

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Kaiser health care workers could walk off the job on Tuesday.

Employees want wage increases, better staffing and improved retirement benefits.

Kaiser says it's committed to reaching an agreement and that a strike would only delay progress and could potentially disrupt care.

The dispute involves 31,000 workers in California and Hawaii. It includes registered nurses, pharmacists, nurse anesthetist and physician assistants.
