Caltrans has released video showing the need for runaway truck ramps on steep roadways in mountainous regions.
The video shows the driver of a white semi-truck as he's unable to stop the vehicle under its own power. It crashes into a steep slope of gravel that was constructed to isolate runaway trucks from the rest of traffic.
