Debris falling from building onto roads in SF's Financial District

SAN FRANCISCO -- Firefighters responded to debris falling from a building scheduled for demolition in San Francisco's Financial District this morning, a fire dispatcher said.

A partial building collapse was reported at 8:20 a.m. near the corner of Pine and Montgomery streets, according to the fire department.

A debris pile was pushing into the street. Firefighters have since left the area and the city's Department of Building Inspection is investigating the incident.
