The 12-acre property includes six bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and multiple structures, according to real estate agent Jenn Gilson, who handled the sale.
"There are 3 structures on property, there's a main residence, sports pavilion, a guest house structure, amphitheater, there's a pool, a belvedere looking at the reflecting pond," Gilson said. "There's a sports pavilion with an Olympic size sunken in tennis court, pickleball courts, volleyball, golf, it's everything you want in your residence, you have it there."

Gilson said the property took six years to develop, with 110 subcontractors working on the compound before it was ready for sale in February of 2026.
"The final sales price was 70 million," she said.
The sale doubles the previous Hillsborough home sale record set in 2022, which was $35 million, according to Gilson. She said she has seen increased activity in Hillsborough's luxury real estate market.

"Not just with this buyer but we definitely have seen a lot more activity in the super end in Hillsborough and it will continue," she said. "I definitely think it's a connection in the AI world and foresee a lot more sales in the high end that will continue."
Gilson didn't say who the buyer was, but did say they work in the artificial intelligence industry and that the location was a key selling point.
"For this buyer he wanted to be close to SFO and close to SF and Silicon Valley and being right in the middle of Hillsborough provided that location for him," Gilson said.

The record-setting transaction stands out even in the high-end housing market, though Gilson stopped short of calling it a once-in-a-lifetime event, when asked.
"I would say probably but you never know what happens I'm always surprised at the real estate market so we will continue to see what happens," she said.
The $70 million sale marks a new benchmark for Hillsborough and Northern California's luxury housing market in 2026.
