Officers responded to a shot spotter activation in the area of Taylor and Jones Streets at 9:20 p.m. Thursday.
Officers at the scene Friday morning told ABC7 News there was a fight between a man and a woman. They said the woman is safe.
They found the suspect inside a building and attempted to contact him, but he refused to leave and barricaded himself inside a unit.
Friday morning, the man was seen sitting in a third-floor window of the building as the standoff continued. It appeared he had a mask over his head as he sat with his legs hanging off the ledge.
SFPD gave the all clear Friday morning after 6 a.m. that the standoff was over and the man was taken into custody.
