Murder suspect mistakenly released from East Bay jail recaptured in St. Louis, police say

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A murder suspect who was mistakenly released from jail in Contra Costa County is back in custody halfway across the country, police say.

Isaiah Andrews, 20, had been on the run for about six months.

U.S. Marshals tracked him down in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday.

Back in October, Andrews was taken into custody in Antioch for a murder in Seattle.



He was held at the county jail in Martinez for three days, then mistakenly released. He'd been on the run from authorities ever since.
