Forward progress stopped on 4-alarm vegetation fire near Mt. Diablo, CAL FIRE says

CLAYTON, Calif. (KGO) -- The Contra Costa Community Warning System has given the "All Clear" for the wildfire in Morgan Territory after firefighters announced Saturday morning that forward progress has officially stopped.

Firefighters initially responded to the 4-alarm vegetation fire Friday afternoon.

According to CAL FIRE, the containment is currently sitting at 30%.

Although normal activities have resumed, firefighters encourage motorists and citizens to drive with caution and stay alert when passing through the area.



Emergency personnel and crews are still actively working throughout the day, CAL FIRE said.

According to CAL FIRE, the fire was approximately 50 acres with multiple ground and aerial crews responding.



No structures are threatened, and no injuries have been reported at this time, according to Contra Costa Fire.
